Victor Victrola crank phonograph motor cleaned rebuilt Picture(s) and Description:
Up for auction is a cleaned, re-greased. rebuilt and tuned-up motor that works with antique Victor Victrola and Victor Orthophonic windup phonographs. This is a two-spring, single-barrel model, with the three original bolts needed to attach it to the motor board. The nuts and washers (including the felt washers) are included with the bolts. (This motor came from a phonograph that did not use a speed-indicator needle with the speed control mechanism, but has the holes to attach a speed-indicator assembly.) I personally took apart and cleaned this entire motor, removing the old dirt and grease right down to the grooves in the gears. The springs were taken out of the barrels, scraped, cleaned and re-packed with fresh grease, and the governor was adjusted, so this motor is running very smoothly. It is ready to go right in your phonograph. Please note the distances between the bolt holes: 6 inches, 6 1/4 inches and 6 3/8 inches. Whoever wins this motor should add grease to the winding gears and possibly some additional oil to the other gears because I used only enough to get it running smoothly. I didn't want it arriving to you a greasy mess! This would be ideal if you need a new or spare motor for your Victor Victrola or just like to collect old phono parts! I'm starting it at $65.00, with $15.00 for shipping. Good luck and thanks for viewing my auction!
