This Vintage Player is in Nice Condition! o---------------------------------------------------------------o SINGER STEREOPHONIC TRANSISTORIZED PHONOGRAPH A Well Cared for Player Made By: Singer (same as the sewing machines), Japan Vintage: Late 1960's Item Info: Singer Stereophonic Transistorized Phonograph next to the volume control that has a 0 to 10 dial for volume control. This vintage Singer brand portable record player also has a wheel for regulating bass and treble. T is a lever for the following settings: OFF 33 45 78 For the turntable to rotate, the recording arm must be placed on a record before selecting the rpm. When the arm is not in play position, the turntable does not rotate as was the intention of Singer engineers. As can be seen in the various photos, the speakers can be spread apart by approximately 6 to 8 feet for better stereophonic sound. For transporting the phonograph, the case conveniently stores the speakers. The record player cover can be easily removed from the case. The record player is in working order and comes with a white 45 rpm adapter. However, the back of the speakers both have plastic l-shaped cord collectors and a couple have broken off. The purpose of the collectors was to conveniently wind up the cord for storage in the case. The phonograph can be powered with either 2 D-cell batteries (Not included) or with an AC adaptor (not included). Radio Shack sells adaptors based on wattage suitable for various electrical devises. Not just any adaptor will work on the phonograph and an improper adaptor can damage the motor. It has a needle in it and everything does what its supposed to when powered up, however I have no record to test on it. Dimensions: 12" x 11" x 4 1/2" inches (in longest dimensions) Come exactly as shown in the photos! A Perfect addition to Any Audiophile or Collection! Comes from a smoke free home.
